How to Inspire, Not Limit, Work Performance
TASA ID:
When giving directions in the workplace, it is easy for these directions to be perceived as strict instructions. However, it is sometimes better practice to provide other members of your team or your coworkers with what the outcome should be, not specifically how things should be done.Directing focus on what the intent or results should be instead of instructions for how to get there can limit thinking and therefore hinder the outcome of the project. The quote above demonstrates this idea that to garner creative thought, you have to allow space for it and not have limitations in place.
Unleashing the full mind potential of your other team members may be very beneficial to your project, and produce an outcome even greater than you had originally imagined. Entertaining unique ideas and different angles may provide a better end product.
