On September 23, 2014 The TASA Group in conjunction with roofing construction safety expert, Daniel O’Connell presented a free, one hour, interactive webinar presentation, Overview of Safety and Health Hazards in Roofing Construction for all legal professionals.
This webinar provided a general overview of the various safety and health hazards that roofing construction workers may be exposed to or encounter. These include chemical, physical environmental and ergonomic hazards.
About the Presenter:
Daniel O’Connell, he is President and Founder of SAFETRAN, LLC. During his tenure, he successfully directed a team of safety engineers and training instructors in California.
Mr. O’Connell is widely recognized as an expert in construction and regulatory cases, and has extensive experience as a leader and member of many industry and governmental safety advisory groups. His extensive background in roofing construction and transport served as the catalyst to his advisory activities. He was influential in proposing new and revised safety improvements in the roofing trade especially related to hazardous chemicals in the workplace. Mr. O’Connell is also a frequent lecturer with speaking engagements at national organizations such as The American Society of Safety Engineers, The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and various roofing contractor organizations.
He is a board-certified Hazardous Materials Manager, a certified Environmental Safety and Health Trainer, and a board-certified Construction Health & Safety Technologist.
