TASA ID: 196
On April 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. (ET), The TASA Group, in conjunction with computer forensics expert Wayne Norris presented a free, one-hour webinar presentation entitled The "'Internet of Evidence™' Little Brother Is Watching You - And He's Taking Notes!"
In this presentation Wayne Norris discussed how sensors - devices that detect and often record data - are found in more and more "smart" devices in everyday life, a trend almost certain to continue. He offered information on how modern devices such as digital cameras, automotive event data recorders, cell phones, and even home appliances record time, date, and other data such as geographic coordinates that can potentially be used as evidence in both civil and criminal cases, on the job, at home, and in other venues. Mr. Norris discussed how this sensor data and its connectivity - what he has come to call "The Internet of EvidenceTM" - can support:
o Determination of time lines
o Identities of actors / alibis
o Intentions of actors
o External and environmental conditions
o Who knew what, and when they knew it
